I heard it today

We live near Dobbins Air Force base. If it’s really quiet in the morning you can hear the morning bugle Reveille (wake up call) playing.

I’ve heard it several times before today.

But today, as if on cue, it began playing as I wrapped up my meditation in Ephesians 6.

It was as if I had been given my marching orders and command to move out.

Today I heard it.

I’ve been asking God to give me a sign. A sign that I’m doing this right, a sign for how to help the ones around me to press on, a sign to help all of us know that we don’t need to fake it til we make it or slap coffee mug scriptures on our pain but that we could fight every battle and win because He’s given us the weapons.

This morning I’m reminded that sometimes the armor needs resizing, or reinforcement or orders how to properly use them. And that you are never fighting alone.

Several weeks ago I was given a vision of a man sharpening his knife, only it was a sword. He approached me to hand me the sword and there was fire under his feet. As I reached for the sword to accept it, He looked me in the eyes and said “be mindful to not be so quick to put it away. When you carry this with authority they’ll know that I sent you. This fire in me is also in you and you will not get burned. My Words are yours. Stay alert.”

Ephesians 6 & Isaiah 6.

Get dressed friend. You wear your armor well. Freedom looks good on you. #CoramDeo #getinneractive #theresanarmyrisingup
